If English is not your first language, RCC offers Limited English Proficiency Academic Adjustments to support your learning. These adjustments are separate from disability accommodations and are provided under RCC Administrative Procedure 5151: Academic Adjustments for Limited English Proficiency.
Depending on your needs, adjustments may include:
- Extra time on quizzes and exams.
- Access to recorded lectures.
Steps for LEP Adjustments
- Email at least 1 week before a quiz or test.
- Attach your LEP form.
- Tell them which adjustments you will use.
- If you email later than 1 week, the adjustment may not be available.
You can copy and paste the email template provided below.
- Your LEP form stays active.
- Just repeat Step 2 with your new instructors.
