Limited English Proficiency Adjustments
If English is not your first language, RCC offers Limited English Proficiency Academic Adjustments to support your learning. These adjustments are separate from disability accommodations and are provided under AP-5151: Academic Adjustments for Limited English Proficiency.
Depending on your needs, adjustments may include:
- Extra time on quizzes and exams.
- Access to recorded lectures.

Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- A GED.com account.
- Your login information.
- Documentation of your disability, if required.
- Enough time to complete the request in one sitting.
What to Expect
- The request takes about 15-30 minutes to complete.
- Review may take several weeks.
- The GED® Testing Service may request additional information.
Plan ahead to allow enough time for approval before your test date.
What Access Can Help With
Access & Disability Resources does not approve GED® testing accommodations. However, if you are already receiving accommodations through RCC, you can request an eligibility letter that:
- Confirms your disability status.
- Does not guarantee GED® approval.
- May not meet all GED® documentation requirements.
Important Reminders
- The GED® Testing Service makes the final decision.
- College accommodations do not automatically transfer.
