Rogue Community College is committed to making commencement accessible for graduates and guests.
Accessible seating is limited in the Marjorie Holzgang Concert Bowl for graduates and guests. Accessible seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and includes space for one companion. The one-companion limit allows more guests who need accessible seating to participate.
Please note that graduates using accessible seating will be seated separately from members of their party.
An ASL interpreter will be present during the ceremony.
Accessible Seating Options
There are two designated seating areas for guests who are elderly or experience disabilities.
Concert Bowl Accessible Seating
- Located on a gentle grassy slope near the front of the bowl on either side of the graduates.
- Closer to the ceremony but uncovered and exposed to the elements, including direct sun.
Guests are encouraged to plan accordingly by dressing for the weather and bringing items such as sunglasses or a hat.
Reservations for accessible seating in the bowl are strongly encouraged. Space is limited and capacity is reached each year.
Rogue Auditorium Accessible Seating
- Located inside RCC’s Rogue Auditorium adjacent to the ceremony location.
- Indoors and protected from the elements.
The ceremony is captioned and shown by simulcast on a large screen.
While the Rogue Auditorium is farther from the graduates, it provides a comfortable indoor option.
Arrival and Reservations
Guests planning to use accessible seating are encouraged to arrive as early as possible.
Accessible seating reservations are first come, first served. Reserved seating will be held until 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. After that time, reservations may be released. Guests whose bowl seating is released will still have access to seating in the Rogue Auditorium.
