This information supports emergency responders, health professionals and the public in understanding potential risks.
The Risk Management Department submits required reports annually to the Oregon State Fire Marshal.
Universal, Hazardous and Electronic Waste
RCC manages the storage and disposal of universal, hazardous and electronic waste
to reduce risk and protect the campus community.
Employees and students who work with these materials must follow established safety
procedures.
The Risk Management Department maintains and updates the written Universal and Hazardous Waste Program and ensures compliance.
Fuel Dispensing Procedures
RCC maintains procedures for the safe fueling of college vehicles and equipment to reduce fire, environmental and safety risks.
Infectious Waste
RCC manages infectious waste in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and industry best practices.
The college follows recognized professional standards to minimize health risks associated with infectious materials.
Employees and students who handle infectious materials are required to follow established
procedures.
The Risk Management Department maintains and updates the written Infectious Waste Management Program.
Integrated Pest Management Program
RCC uses an Integrated Pest Management Plan to control pests while minimizing risks to people and the environment.
The program focuses on:
- Monitoring and prevention.
- Reducing pesticide use.
- Maintaining safe exposure levels.
- Ongoing evaluation and record-keeping.
The Facilities Department manages this program, with a designated coordinator at each
campus.
This program meets requirements under Oregon law.
