Certificate
Before you get started, it helps to understand how this program works. The Occupational Skills Training (OST) Certificate is a special admission program with a separate application process. After you apply and are accepted into the OST program, you will work with faculty to build a customized training plan that matches your skills, goals and local job opportunities.
Some occupations may have additional requirements, such as background checks or insurance, which will be reviewed with you early so there are no surprises.
Graduation Requirements
The Occupational Skills Training Certificate requires the completion of 36-60 program credits based on a pre-approved training plan. Students must complete all courses outlined in this program with a grade of “C” or better to earn a certificate. Students must submit a completed Occupational Skills Training (OST) application to program staff and be accepted into the program prior to starting this program.

Credit for Prior Learning
The Occupational Skills Training certificate program may be eligible for Credit for Prior Learning, meaning your work experience, training or other learning outside the classroom could count for college credit — helping you save time and reduce costs.
