The SNAP Training & Employment Program, known as STEP, supports Rogue Community College students who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and are working toward education or training connected to a specific employment goal. STEP helps you build skills, complete your education and prepare for a job that leads to a living wage.

How STEP Can Help

STEP provides wraparound support services that help reduce barriers while you work toward your education and employment goals.

Support services may include:

  • College and career success coaching.
  • Enhanced advising and mentoring.
  • Supplemental funding for textbooks, course supplies and equipment and transportation support.
  • Financial assistance with transportation and childcare.
  • Career exploration and job preparation.
  • Support for GED® students and GED® students enrolled in concurrent college-level classes.
  • Connections to tutoring and other campus resources.
