This program has prerequisite course requirements, which may be waived based on placement. Please see the Program Map in our academic catalog for more information. Because computer science coursework is highly sequential, early advising is strongly recommended.

Graduation Requirements

The Computer Science Associate of Science Major Transfer Map program requires the completion of at least 90 program credits in addition to prerequisite credits, which may be waived based on placement. Students must complete all courses outlined in this program with a grade of “C” or better to transfer. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with an Academic Advisor or faculty advisor before beginning any coursework.

After your first year, you will choose which group of universities you plan to transfer to, and this choice will guide your remaining coursework.

  • OSU / PSU / UO
  • EOU / SOU / WOU

This decision impacts science, math and computer science course selections. Your Academic Advisor can help identify the pathway that best aligns with your goals.

See the Program Map in our academic catalog for specific course requirements.

World Language Requirement

Transferring to a four-year school? If you plan to apply for transfer to a public university in Oregon, you must meet a world language requirement. You can meet this requirement by completing two years of the same world language in high school or two college-level terms. RCC offers courses in Spanish, French and American Sign Language (ASL).
