Rogue Community College can help you prepare to apply for the Physical Therapy Assistant program offered through Linn-Benton Community College. Because this is a special admission program, you will need to meet additional requirements beyond general college admission. You must apply for admission to both RCC and Lane before starting the program.
The Physical Therapy Assistant program begins each fall term. The online application opens in the fall 2026 and closes in July, 2027. Admission decisions will be sent by the end of July.

How to Get Started

The following steps will help you prepare to apply for the Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Step 1: Apply for admission to Rogue Community College.
Applying is free and only takes a few minutes online.

Step 2: Complete the RCC placement process.
This helps determine the math and writing courses that are right for you.

Step 3: Attend a First Term Advising Session.
Your advisor can help you understand program requirements, choose prerequisite classes and build an education plan.

Step 4: Complete prerequisite coursework.
You will need to complete the required prerequisite courses outlined in the Program Map before applying to the Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Step 5: Apply for admission to Lane’s Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.You will complete a separate online admissions application for Lane as well as a PTA program application for this special admission program. Detailed instructions are available on the Lane website.
