The Associate of General Studies degree is made up of three parts:
- General Education (12 credits)
You will take courses in interpersonal communication, math and writing. - Core Requirements (18 credits)
You’ll choose 3–4 credits from each of these areas to explore different subjects:
- Art/Humanities
- Science/Computer Science
- Social Science
- Physical Education
- Electives (18 credits)
These are your “choose what interests you” classes. You can take any college‑level courses to round out your degree.
Advanced standing may be available for:
- Previous college coursework.
- College Now credit.
- Approved transfer courses from Oregon community colleges.
Graduation Requirements
The Associate of General Studies degree requires the completion of 90 program credits, which may be waived based on placement. Students must complete all courses outlined in this program with a grade of “C” or better to earn a degree. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with an Academic Advisor or faculty advisor before beginning any coursework.
