HVAC/R Mechanics install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The HVAC/R Apprenticeship Program at Rogue Community College combines hands-on training with classroom instruction to prepare students for skilled careers in the HVAC industry. Apprentices learn to safely diagnose, service and install equipment while developing the technical skills needed to work in residential, commercial and industrial settings.

Program Highlights

The HVAC/R Apprenticeship Program takes approximately four (4) years to complete and combines more than 8,000 hours of on-the-job training with 576 hours of classroom instruction. The program prepares apprentices to take the state licensing exam and offers multiple educational and professional opportunities, including:
