Campus Safety and Security
In compliance with federal law, RCC prepares an annual report on campus safety and security programs and services. This report is required under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act [16.11], originally enacted in 1990 and amended in 1998.
The Clery Act helps ensure transparency about campus safety and provides important information to students, employees and the community.
Academic Integrity Is Expected
Learning at RCC is built on honesty, fairness, respect and trust. Academic integrity is a shared responsibility and a key part of your success.
Academic honesty means completing your own work and being truthful in your academic efforts.
Violations of academic integrity include, but are not limited to:
- Plagiarism.
- Cheating.
- Collusion.
- Inappropriate assistance.
- Fabrication or falsification.
- Alteration of academic materials.
- Unauthorized multiple submissions.
- Sabotage or tampering.
Students who violate academic honesty or integrity may face disciplinary action. Understanding expectations and asking for help when needed can prevent issues and support your success.
Noncredit Tuition Payment Policy
If you register for noncredit classes, you are responsible for payment at the time of registration.
Key points to know:
- Tuition is refunded only if you officially drop the class at least 72 hours before the class start date.
- Non‑attendance does not remove your responsibility to pay.
- Accounts with unpaid balances may be charged late fees or sent to collections.
- No refunds are issued after the drop deadline.
- You can review your enrollment, drop classes and pay charges through your student account.
If you believe a charge is incorrect or you have extenuating circumstances, such as a medical emergency, you may submit a noncredit account appeal form. You will be notified within 30 days if your appeal is approved.
For questions about noncredit tuition or charges, call 541‑956‑7303.
Student conduct standards are designed to protect your learning experience and ensure fairness across the RCC community. If you have questions about expectations or need guidance, support is available to help you move forward and stay on track toward your goals.
