Rogue Community College welcomes students from many backgrounds and life stages. RCC is an open-admission college for most students and is committed to making education accessible while also ensuring students are ready to succeed in college-level coursework. 

General Admission Requirements 

You may be admitted to RCC if you are: 

  • 18 years or older. 
  • 16 or 17 years old and meet one of the following:  
    • Have a high school diploma or GED®. 
    • Place into college-level writing and math. 

The College reserves the right to approve or deny enrollment requests for students under age 18.

Underage Students Without a Diploma or GED® 

If you are under 16 years old and do not have a high school diploma or GED®, additional steps are required to determine eligibility for enrollment. 

This process applies to underage students interested in taking RCC credit classes, whether on campus or online. Enrollment is not guaranteed and must be approved by the college. 

A Transition Specialist can help explain the process and next steps. 

Enrollment Limitations 

In some cases, enrollment may be limited due to space, staffing or equipment availability. 

Certain classes and programs also have restrictions based on:

  • Age requirements. 
  • Safety considerations. 
  • Criminal background checks. 
  • Other program-specific criteria.  

Special Admission Programs 

Some career-focused programs are special admission programs [2.1.9], which means you must meet additional requirements and complete a separate program application beyond general college admission. Enrollment is competitive and not guaranteed.

Important: Some health care programs require proof of immunizations and medical testing. 

Special Admissions Programs

International Admission

Rogue Community College is not currently admitting international students requiring F-1 or M-1 student visas.

Underage Enrollment Standards for Credit Classes 

Students under age 18 who have not graduated from high school or earned a GED® must meet additional standards to be considered for credit classes. 

The college reviews each request carefully and reserves the right to approve or deny enrollment.
