Bennett Legacy Society
The Dr. Harvey and Natasha Bennett Legacy Society is named in honor of former Rogue Community College president Dr. Harvey Bennett and his wife, Natasha. Dr. Bennett began his career at RCC in 1984 as dean. In 1985, he was named acting administrator and was formally appointed RCC’s third president in 1986.
During his tenure, Dr. Bennett also taught geography while providing steady and compassionate leadership during a period of significant growth. He played an important role in the renovation of the Redwood Campus and the expansion of RCC services in Jackson County, including the development of what is now the Riverside area. He retired in 1999 and remained actively engaged in community service and RCC Foundation activities until his passing in 2012.
The Legacy Society was established in 2012 with a planned gift commitment from Dr. Bennett and Natasha Bennett. Their vision was to support the continued growth and academic excellence of RCC for generations of students. Members of the Legacy Society carry forward that vision by including RCC in their estate and gift plans.

The success of RCC depends in part on community members who share a commitment to strengthening the college’s mission. The Bennett Legacy Society recognizes individuals who have chosen to support RCC through planned gifts.
Legacy Society members share a commitment to ensuring RCC’s long-term excellence. Their generosity provides lasting support for students, faculty and programs across the college.
Ways to Give through Planned Gifts
Many RCC alumni, retirees, employees and friends find they can make a greater impact than expected through planned giving. A planned gift may take several forms:
- Bequests and Wills
Include a gift to the RCC Foundation in your will or trust. - Beneficiary Designations
Name the RCC Foundation as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement account and direct your future gift to a specific program or purpose. - Retained Life Estate
Contribute a residence, vacation home or land while retaining the right to live in or use the property for life. After your lifetime, ownership transfers to the RCC Foundation.
Donor Recognition
The RCC Foundation recognizes the important role of planned giving donors and honors their leadership and vision through special recognition, including:
- Listing in the RCC Foundation Annual Report.
- Invitation to an annual Legacy Society luncheon.
- A recognition gift.
- Invitations to select RCC events and educational programs.
Legacy Society members may be recognized in RCC publications, though anonymity is available upon request.
